Oppenheimer.
Arjuna, fated is Pralaya, world drowned in tears of God
A cosmic dissolution, where once mortal feet trod
Sea instead of soil, all drowned and violenced
A few shall laugh, a few shall cry, but most be silenced
And yet, Arjuna, burns a question, in my mind
Why must water be Death, in the end of time?
Should not Fire, its rival, marry Earth with hell?
Must I, a god, alone? When man may just as well.
Are we not become death? Destroyer of worlds.
